Objectives:
- To establish an adequate, accurate and reliable oceanographic database for Vietnam to meet management and utilization objectives of oceanographic information and data for Vietnamese economic development and national defense.
Abstract:
- Inventory the oceanographic data of Vietnam and East Sea (Bien Dong) that are existing in and outside the country. Control and assess the data quality to select reliable ones for national marine database.
- Exhaustively collect and update the existing data in and outside the country.
- Enhance existing data management software (VODC), add more specific management and data quality control modules.
- Establish national ceanographic data center and promote a network in Vietnam.
